CAPE TOWN TANGO ENSEMBLE IN CONCERT FROM 27 TO 31 MAY


Cape Town Tango Ensemble, nominated for an MTN SA Music Awards (SAMA) for Best Instrumental Album, is visiting Gauteng and performing at various venues.

The group is made up of Stanislav Angelov (bandoneon and accordion), Albert Combrink (piano), Jacek Domagala (violin) and Charles Lazar (double Bass).

Already performing for over a decade, the CT Tango Ensemble has two produced albums: “El Tango en Africa” and “Tango Club”. The ensemble has appeared in many concerts throughout South Africa and Namibia and has performed at all major Arts festivals. Their music has enjoyed air play on local and international radio and television stations and Film Sound Tracks. Their repertoire ranges from traditional Tango to Tango Nuevo, including original compositions by Stanislav Angelov and Charles Lazar. During this tour, the CT Tango Ensemble will present three different programmes that will appeal to Tango fanatics and music lovers alike.
