Kromboom Rotary Club and Springfield Convent hosted yet another highly successful “CONCERT IN A CONVENT GARDEN”, raising funds for scholarships for disadvantaged learners, as well as “Habitat for Humanity”. The event was a huge success with a good turnout, great weather and fantastic music.

Celebrating the richness of Music and Voice, Concert in a Convent Garden will take place on 31 January 2016 at 17.30 in the gardens of Springfield Convent in Wynberg. It will take the form of an outdoor picnic concert in the late afternoon where you can enjoy a glass of wine and delicacies from the Opera Café.

UCT Opera School graduate and member of the award-winning South African Sopranos, Lynelle is no stranger to the stage. The final rehearsal of the full ensemble for Opera in a Convent Garden, which also had visitors from IkamvaYouth SA, hosted by the girls of Springfield Convent School. A great opportunity for the young people to see a professional rehearsal in full operation – stops and starts and all – a chance to make new friends, great expereince for the Springfield Schoolgirls, and an audience, to up the pressure of our final rehearsal a few notches.
