What fun to finally get to play piano duets with dear friend Victor Hugo Tichart. Us pianists have a special rapport with each other – we share so many similar experiences, rehearsals, practicing the same hard passages, dealing with conductors, temperamental soloists, not to mention recalcitrant instruments! So there is a special bond when you click with another pianist, an understanding and an empathy that is very special to experience.
