Louise Howlett & Albert Combrink
SOLD OUT Show and Dinner hosted by St. Boniface Catholic Church, Knysna.
Conceived and compiled by Louise Howlett, with twists and turns added by yours truly, with some revisions and fresh additions over time, this show has been running for literally years now and audience response is always fantastic!
Our first night’s accommodation was generously sponsored by Dolphin View Heroldsbay , exquisite Self-Catering Holiday accommodation.
Dolphin View Heroldsbay is so peaceful and beautiful, within walking distance of the Heroldsbay beach, with a restaurant across the road and a valley just out the window. Perfect place to recharge the batteries before going on to Knysna.
All the tables were decorated in movie themes, with tremendous creativity and attention to detail.
Our wonderful hosts in Knysna Annie and Doug Davies, their boys Frederick and Greg and guests. “Ladies in Lavender” even had an antique violin as the centerpiece, but it had to be removed to make way for the mountains of food!
“Chocolat” was definitely a hit!
“Halloween” or Hogwarts? Guests even dressed up in their movie themes.
“Pirates of the Caribbean” had an ENTIRE BOAT on the table.
Some perfectly charming Knysna Pirates!
More Pirates. Is that a bottle of Rum I see?
What attention to detail. Even swords for the pirates!
Great vibe, great creativity and lots of fun.
Tables were GROANING with the feast laid on.
The Great Gatsby and Phantom of the Opera were all present
Father Brian and Dr Zhivago.
Each table was magnificent. It would be hard to choose a favourite.
Invictus!
These ladies in their halloween hats were having a BLAST!
Annie Davis at my FAVOURITE table: The ICE CREAM table! (Was there a movie called “Ice Cream”?)
Rounding off the evening was a perfect full moon over the Knysna lake.
The perfect little nook to regroup and relive the fun the of the night before.
Yes, waking up to a symphony of birds and a Knysna Loerie just feet away from us having its breakfast at the same time that we were.
