The Cape Town Tango Ensemble returns to the Cape Town Concert Series for an evening of tango inspired chamber music from Piazolla to new works with focus on each of the core instruments of bass, violin, piano and of course the accordian with Charles Lazar, Piet de Beer, Albert Combrink and Stanislav Anguelov.

It is a rare opportunity to see the ensemble in concert where they are able to give full focus to the music. For our concert on 19 August, they will play a carefully selected programme of virtuosic chamber music from the Tango repertoire. Cornerstones of Piazzolla’s works will be interspersed with French and Eastern European concert-tangos, as well as first performances of new works by members of the ensemble itself.

As part of the Baxter 40th birthday celebrations, following the concert there will be a free milonga in the foyer so bring your dancing shoes to dance the night away!

Tickets are available from Computicket: http://online.computicket.com/web/event/cape_town_tango_ensemble/1163238980/0/81196689 and at the Baxter. Special group tickets available for Tango Schools. For more information contact 084 682 1337 or email info@ctconcerts.co.za
