Mountain Shadows will host an evening of tango music with the Cape Town Tango Ensemble.

Traditional Tangos performed in the style of di Sarli, Canaro, Salgan, Pugliese etc.
Tango Nuevo performed in the style of Piazzolla, Galliano, Fiorrio, as well as their own compositions.

Stanislav’s orginal compositions mix traditional Tango with South African flavour and Jazz.
His Tango compositions and arrangements are often used for film and Television productions in South Africa and overseas.
The Ensemble also performs for theatre productions with professional Tango dancers and actors throughout South Africa and Namibia

Cape Town Tango Ensemble started by Stanislav Angelov in 1996 as an Accordion & Piano Duo (Stanislav Angelov & Liza Geldenhuys) with intention to perform this music at concerts. Soon after that Liza moved to Pretoria and on her place came Albert Combrink. By 1999 Basil Heald joined them on Double Bass. Local violinist Piet de Beer will play the Violin for this show.

In May 2003 they released their first CD “El Tango en Africa” (Tango in Africa) where they explored the fusion between African Rhythms and sounds with the “Tango Nuevo” style. This album has been locally and internationally acclaimed receiving a great deal of air time worldwide up to today.
