Cape Town songbird Louise Howlett and her longtime musical partner Albert Combrink (piano), team up again with musical whizz-kids Dylan Tabisher (Percussion) and Charl Clayton (Saxophone) to bring you “Blues in the Night on Broadway”. This Jazz and Broadway show has sold out many times at Alexander Bar and the SuidOoster Fees two years in a row.

As always, Louise blends a narative into a beguiling playlist of familiar favourites from the Blues era – paying tribute to some of the great female ladies of jazz – to more modern musicals from Broadway, including Jason Robert Brown’s “Songs from a New World” and even a new South African musical “Calling us Home”.

The ensemble bring a blend of classical training and jazz improvisation to the material, ensuring that you will hear your favroutie songs afresh, as well as add some new favourites to your home playlist.

The ensemble has recently spent time in the studio, and the show will present some of the new sounds discovered in the recording process.
