Favourite Things – Joyous songs to welcome Summer and Christmas!

Songs by Debussy, Ireland, Head, Warlock, and some Christmas favourites with a twist.

The Nine Club presents the last concert of the year.
Louise Howlett – (Soprano) will present a delightful selections of joyous songs, accompanied by Albert Combrink on piano. Never content to present an ordinary Christmas Concert, the two have compiled a programme that reflects on the joys of the summer season. A selection of songs by John Ireland, and songs and solo piano pieces by Claude Debussy, in his 150th anniversary year, flows naturally into an exploration of Christmas music in the sphere of the English Artsong. As always, there will be some familiar favourites, and some Christmas music dressed up in the unique style for which this duo has become known.
