The Helderberg Village Music Society presents: CT Tango Ensemble in Concert:
Sunday 1 April 2012,
Booking Enquiries: 021 855 8333 Or Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The CT Tango Ensemble presents a brand new programme with many new additions to their repertoire. Compositions by the “Golden Age” master Agustin Bardi are juxtaposed with tributes by other composers such as Horacio Salgan. A generous helping of Astor Piazzolla is always to be expected from South Africa’s premiere Tango Orchestra. The programme also includes original compositions by Stanislav Angelov and Charles Lazar as well as a Piazzolla arrangement by Albert Combrink.
Piazzolla’s La Muerte del Angel, arranged by Albert Combrink:

Route to Talani Lounge, Helderberg Village
From the N2 (Cape Town – Caledon) take turn-off to R44 (Broadway Boulevard / Stellenbosch). There is a traffic light as you come off the N2. Turn left in the direction of Stellenbosch, past the Lord Charles Hotel (at a major traffic light intersection) on the left
[If you approach from Sir Lowry’s Pass, you have to turn right. If you approach from the Strand / Gordon’s Bay, you are already on the R44.]
Drive over the hill, pass under a road bridge, and start a descent until a road sign on the left to
Helderberg Village. Turn left (into Beaulie Crescent) and follow this road past a road entering from the left, to a T-junction, with another sign pointing to Helderberg Village. Turn right into
Bakkerskloof Road. Follow the road to a barrier, where a security check takes place.
Continue along Bakkerskloof Road, to a four way stop (white gate posts on both sides). Turn left, then immediately turn right (Saltee Crescent) and immediately left again. The venue is a little up the road on the left and you may park anywhere.
Return Route from Helderberg Village towards Cape Town
When you leave the main gate of Helderberg Village, turn right into Riesling Road. Drive along Riesling Road until it ends in a T-junction (Steynsrust road). Turn right and follow the road until it ends in a T-junction (Winery Road). Turn left into that road and immediately turn right towards Kuils River (Kuilsrivier). Drive across a bridge over the railway towards a crossing with traffic lights. Do not turn towards Kuilsrivier here. Carry on straight across towards the N2. Where the road crosses the highway on a bridge, turn right towards Cape Town. You now join the N2, which runs to Cape Town.
[The instructions for the return journey are important, as returning to the R44 is confusing. At the entry point from Helderberg Village, the R44 is on two levels, and the closest one runs to Stellenbosch, not to the N2.]
