Albert Combrink Midweek Sessions

Two mini concerts of classical and jazz under one roof on one night.

On 9 July our classical concert features violinist Piet de Beer performing highlights from his new programme of French works to celebrate the upcoming Bastille Day festivities. Accompanied by Albert Combrink on keys and including a few of our favourite French songs and arias, the concert runs from 7.30 to 8.30pm.

If you like easy listening jazz, enjoy a coffee from Heaven coffee during the break and then join for our jazz concert from 8.45 – 9.45 where Albert and I will sing highlights from our cd Night Sessions.

Tickets R60 per concert or R100 for the whole evening, available at Webtickets and at the door from 7pm.

Future concerts take place on 30 July with cellist Rosamund van der Westhuizen and then new dates from August through to December will be released.

‘Louise Howlett presents’ is a brand new concert experience with two pop-up Midweek Sessions in one evening. Classical works and easy listening jazz are performed together on one night under one roof at the Church on Greenmarket Square. Vocalist and concert manager Louise Howlett presents and performs in each session with pianist Albert Combrink, and there will be regular guest appearances by some of Cape Town’s finest classical and jazz musicians.

Be the first to hear a ‘sneak peek’ of new programmes being worked on, or enjoy old favourites being performed just for fun. Tickets are priced R60 for a session, or R100 for the full evening (student and pensioner discounts at the door). Great coffee and refreshments are available at Heaven Coffee at the venue, or why not combine a session with supper and drinks from one of restaurants on the square.
