Louise Howlett Presents: Midweek Sessions with “Bella Rosa”

Midweek Sessions Presents “Bella Rosa” – An Italian Rose Garden through the ages: four musicians – Soprano, Flute, Cello & Piano – tell stories through multi-genre songs, solos and ensembles for an unusual and delightful combination of instruments. The musicians in this group – Sally Minter on flute, Pieter-Adriaan Stofberg on cello, Albert Combrink on piano and soprano Louise Howlett – each an established soloist in their own right, are known for putting together varied and entertaining programmes that suit all tastes and genres. The concert features works by Puccini, Mozart, Donizetti, Rabbioni and more and weaves a story of gardens, flowers and romance between the four musicians.

Tickets at the Door: R80 (pensioners/students R50) Plenty of parking is available on the square and Bellini’s Italian Restaurant opposite the church will be having delicious Italian specials to enjoy before or after the concert.

Midweek Sessions at the Church on Greenmarket Square brings together some of Cape Town’s finest musicians for one or two contrasting sessions of music on one night under one roof, presented by singer Louise Howlett. The unique acoustics of the church provide the perfect vibe for classical, jazz, blues and more. Great coffee is available in the church to enjoy with the music, and there are bars and restaurants nearby on the Square to enjoy a drink or meal around a session.

For June to September we will have single sessions to give the chance for a warming supper or drink on the square combined with a hour or so of great music
during the winter months.
