The Pro Musica Divina String Ensemble, conducted by Dr Steven der Merwe, is proud to announce its Spring Gala Concert on 24 September 2016.

This program of music includes a variety of works, including the Suite from the opera Carmen by Bizet; Ravel’s sublime “Pavane for a Dead Princess”; the “Oblivion” Tango by Piazzolla; a string sonata by Rossinni as well as music by Tchaikovsky; Mozart and Bach.

The program will also feature the world premiere of by Steven van der Merwe’s latest composition, “New Light” for piano and string orchestra. [read more…]

The CT Tango Ensemble will be exploring the Spiritual and Sacred dimension of the Tango in a programme of Sacred and Secular music, held in the beautiful atmosphere of a Church. It promises to be a an enjoyable evening of high quality music making. The Ensemble is acclaimed wherever it performs for their passionate and dramatic renditions of Tangos familiar and new. In this programme they will show off their Classical roots with classical works by Bach and others.
