Spring Gala Concert: Albert Combrink, Steven van der Merwe 24 September 2016

The Pro Musica Divina String Ensemble, conducted by Dr Steven der Merwe, is proud to announce its Spring Gala Concert on 24 September 2016.

This program of music includes a variety of works, including the Suite from the opera Carmen by Bizet; Ravel’s sublime “Pavane for a Dead Princess”; the “Oblivion” Tango by Piazzolla; a string sonata by Rossinni as well as music by Tchaikovsky; Mozart and Bach.

The program will also feature the world premiere of by Steven van der Merwe’s latest composition, “New Light” for piano and string orchestra. The orchestra will be joined by the very talented Cape Town pianist, Albert Combrinck!

The concert starts at 7pm, with pre-concert drinks and snacks at 6pm.
