Stanislav Angelov Short CV

Stanislav Angelov, a Bulgarian born Classical Accordionist, holds Music degrees and diplomas from 3 continents – from Bulgaria, UK, South Africa & Argentina where he went in 2005 to study Bandoneón (another member of the Accordion family) – the instrument, which Piazzolla played & the instrument which is considered to be the soul of the Tango.

In 2004 Stanislav performed the Bandoneón (or Accordion) Concerto of Piazzolla with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of the Spanish born Maestro Francisco Bonin. Same year he led the orchestra for the production of Piazzolla’s Tango Operita “Maria de Buenos Aires”. In 2012 he performed again the Bandoneón Concerto of Piazzolla with the Eastern Cape Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of the Columbian born Maestro German Gutierez.
