Richard Galliano (born 12 December 1950 ) is a Franco-Italian accordionist and composer.
Galliano was born in Cannes ( Alpes-Maritimes ). He started playing the accordion at the age of 4, influenced by his father Luciano, accordionist originally from Italy, who still teaches at the School of Music Mouans Sartoux, near Cannes . He has played with many artists including Astor Piazzolla and Claude Nougaro (in honor of whom he composed and performs “Tango for Claude”)
