Ifriky Tadadjeu Sokeng (Cameroonian tenor) and Janine Pick (South African pop-soprano) take the stage to perform a set of very beautiful, simple and accessible music. Barriers between vocal styles and music genres are broken. A bold attempt to satisfy everyone, from lovers of operas and musicals to fans of pop music or simple ballads. With the accompanied of well-known pianists Albert Combrink and Ivan Meredith, “For the love of music” aims at using 2 hours to show the audience something they did not know they liked!!!
Janine Pick has been blessed to be part of a musical family from the time she was born. Her dad use to be a choir master and mom singer (in younger days) and choir member. Janine has sung in many choirs in her church and is currently still a choir member in the congregation she attends. She has performed at many events ranging from productions shows (e.g.: community chest carnival, Angela Pratten Productions shows), mayoral & corporate council events, weddings, funerals and community fundraiser. Near to her heart she enjoys performing at various old age homes and for 3 years she has done Christmas concerts at St. Luke Hospice in Kennilworth.
To the many opportunities presented she has performed with many well-known talented people ranging from Victor Siljeur (Singing Siblings) & James Bhemgee (Winner of SA’s got talent 2011). As far as performing in concerts in honour of Wendy Fine (World/SA renown opera singer).
Her genre of music blends a unique and versatile medley of revising old songs into light classics and various opera arias.
